Blackdown Shoot

Blackdown is a friendly countryside sporting ground offering monthly clay shoots in Northchapel near Petworth and just up the road from Rakers the supplier of all things shooty.

The map marker is for the shoot entrance which is up a track on a road junction - the what three words location for the entrance is ///ballpoint.musically.period

Along the lane is the first parking spaces, then the snack trailer, then the shoot office portakabin, then the main parking field.

English sporting setup with either 50 or 70 target cards available from Linda in the office. Please note this is a cash only venue. Breakfasts are served from 08:00 with shooting starting at 10:00 and final entries by 12:30.

Certificate holders only, though guests are welcome if accompanied.

12, 20, 28 and .410 bore cartridges are usually available (fibre wad only shoot).

Stands are set around a field with targets so suit all - some are apparent dollies that one should not miss whilst others are more challenging including a fast away into woods followed by an incomer on the same track that seems to be aimed at your feet.
